Ich denke, dass dieses Buch zum Lernen von PL/SQL gut geeignet ist.Da ich mit PL/SQL schon ein wenig länger arbeite, habe ich dieses Buch vor allem auch gut als Referenz benutzten können.Der Umfang dieses Buches ist nicht so groß, wie der klassische Feuerstein zu PL/SQL. Dafür ist dieses Werk auf dem 9.0.1 Stand von PL/SQL, was der dicke Wälzer von Herrn Feuerstein nicht ist.Die Beispiele in diesem Buch fand ich sehr praxisbezogen und ich konnte direkt eine Reihe von Code Schnipseln wiederverwenden.Ich würde mir dieses Buch immer wieder kaufen. Soweit ich gesehen habe, gibt es inzwischen auch eine deutsche Ausgabe.

Learning Oracle PL/SQL is one of the best books I have read on learning this subject. This book has a little for everyone: you'll learn something if you know the basics of SQL, but have never really done anything with it. You'll also learn something if you've had a lot of experience with Microsoft SQLServer (and T-SQL), but are looking to transition you knowledge to Oracle PL/SQL.You'll learn about coding anonymous blocks, stored procedures, functions, and packages. You will learn how to write and use cursors, how to organize code into packages, Oracle security basics, Oracle built in packages, and error handling. The book also covers some basics of using SQL*Plus, to make your life a little easier.If you need a relatively small (less than 400 pages) introduction to Oracle PL/SQL, then this is definitely a book you will want to pick up. If you need more in-depth information after reading this book, pick up the authors' other book Oracle PL/SQL.

I bought this book, used, a couple of weeks ago since I needed a resource to learn Oracle... I wish the book would have started with Oracle commands instead of the PL/SQL aspect but I was not totally bothered with this...If this is the same version, that I have, there are numerous errors (or I believe them to be). For example, on page 160, there is an example of PL/SQL code using a cursor. I understand what they are trying to do but... The second line declares the variable favorite_play_title VARCHAR2(??); - is this legal? I thought VARCHAR2 needs a finite number. On the third line after the BEGIN statement, the statement FETCH bkcur INTO favorite_play_title, publication_date; is fine except he never defines bkcurs in the code (but looking a few pages back he has a script which it is defined - page 152)... It is not stated that the variable bkcur is automatically defined and initialized by the FETCH command (I found this out in another Oracle PL/SQL book that I own) which really confused me.There are numerous examples like this that make the book hard to follow... There is not much description on the code that they wrote and it one types it in manually, they will be sure to run into the problems... And if you, download the samples online, good luck since they are bits and pieces of code some of which is missing the data so you really will struggle following the book...I am not against the authors... When you are learning a programming language, software tools, and ... you will need to have the ability to put your resource into practice. If a book is not written, organized well or has examples that do not help the user to understand, missing data and/or have errors, it makes it harder for the user to pick up concepts however simple or complex they may be... If a person is going to spend good money, they deserve a good book...The Oracle press series is a much better resource for learning Oracle. I have 2 of the books on order...

I've only read three chapters so far. It's been very good actually - I knew some SQL beforehand, although nothing very complicated, and it has been pretty easy for me to understand as well as very helpful for me in learning how to use PL/SQL. It has genuinely useful examples, and also provides tips as to how to perform unit testing on stored procedures and functions.Another very useful thing the author does is list common and not-as-common mistakes that a programmer may make (which may not always result in errors or exceptions), hence possibly saving you the trouble of hours of debugging.The only problem I've had with it is that he doesn't treat foreign keys as constraints. One of his sample column declarations is: "isbn VARCHAR2(100) FOREIGN KEY REFERENCES books (isbn)", but I kept getting an error until I changed it to: "isbn VARCHAR2(100), FOREIGN KEY (isbn) REFERENCES books (isbn)". I am not sure if this is a peculiarity of my installation (running Oracle 9i), but a check online reveals that many people also consider foreign keys a constraint.Except for that problem, I would have given this book 5 stars.

Suchte Informationen über eine Alternative zu Antibiotika. Den Antibiotika ist doch in fast allen Essen drin, durch das Grundwasser und Regenwasser kommt es im Gemüse und Fleisch vor. Wenn man Krank ist bekommt man auch Antibiotika, irgendwann nützt es nicht mehr. Das hat mich zum nachdenken gebracht und ich begann zu recherchieren.Wollte vieles über Kolloidalem Silber und Kolloidalem Gold wissen von der Herstellung bis hin zur Anwendung und Dosierung. Das hat mich neugierig gemacht und ich begann zu recherchieren… In diesem e-book wird ausführlichst erklärt was Kolloidales Silber ist, worauf man achten sollte, wie es angewandt wird und wobei. Während beim lesen kam ich dann schon auf die Idee mir ein Gerät zu kaufen, um es selbst herzustellen, war dann aber überrascht, wie einfach mich so einen Silbergenerator eigentlich selber bauen kann. Einfach genial. Die hier genannten Mineralien wirken entzündungshemmend was sehr hilfreich und effektiv ist. Ich kann nur empfehlen aus eigener Erfahrung, alternative Mittel zumindest mal selbst auszuprobieren und sich dann eine eigene Meinung zu bilden denn schädlich ist es auf keinen Fall. Je weniger Chemie um so besser. Deshalb finde ich, es ist ein sehr interessantes E-Book zu diesem Thema. Daher gebe ich dem E-Book 5 Sterne und daher kann ich dieses Buch nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Ich finde dieses Buch sehr aufschlussreich. Ich halte im allgemeinen sehr viel von früher eingesetzten Haus- oder auch Werbemitteln da sie auf pflanzlicher Basis sind. So ist es auch bei Kolloidalem Silber und Kolloidalem Gold. Diese Mineralien enthalten eine antibiotische Wirkung. Die Pharmaindustrie rät natürlich davon ab. Aber ich bin davon überzeugt. Ich halte nicht viel von chemischen Medikamenten und gerade wenn man etwas öfter verschrieben bekommt merkt man manchmal selbst dass die Wirkung nicht mehr so effizient ist wie am Anfang. Genau in so einem Fall ist es zum Beispiel ratsam ein pflanzliches Mittel auszuprobieren. Die hier genannten Mineralien wirken entzündungshemmend was sehr hilfreich und effektiv ist. Ich kann nur empfehlen aus eigener Erfahrung, pflanzliche Mittel zumindest mal selbst auszuprobieren und sich dann eine eigene Meinung zu bilden denn schädlich ist es auf keinen Fall.

Kalloidale Silber oder kolloidales Gold zeigt in vitro (d. h. außerhalb eines lebenden Organismus) eine antimikrobielle Wirkung und inaktiviert in bereits kleinen Konzentrationen eine Reihe von Bakterien und Pilzen. Es kann daher alternativ zum Antibiotikum bei bakteriellen Infektionen und bei diversen Entzündungen eingenommen werden.Da ich mich sehr für Therapien aus der alternativen Medizin interessiere, da dabei die häufig lästigen Nebenwirkungen der allopatischen Medikamente nicht oder nur vorübergehend auftauchen, habe ich mir dieses Buch gekauft und viel Wissenswertes über die Anwendung und Wirkungsweise von kolloidalem Silber und kolloidalem Gold erfahren.Daher empfehle ich allen Menschen, die sich für eine funktionierde Alternative zum Antibiotikum interessieren, die Lektüre dieses umfangreichen Ratgebers.

Grade die Sprungfunktion aus dem Inhaltsverzeichnis wäre dafür eine große Hilfe.Zum anderen sind es grade die Bereiche die am meisten interessieren. Daher auch nur 4 Sterne. Der Inhalt aber passtvon Anfang bis Ende. Ich finde, es lohnt sich.

Zu Beginn dieses interessanten Buches wird die Argyria - Kontroverse vorgestellt und Anwendungsbeispiele aufgezeigt. Dann wird die richtige Dosierung beschrieben und wie Sie kolloidales Silber richtig lagern. Nach der Beschreibung der Qualitätskontrolle erfahren Sie, wie Sie kolloidales Silber und den Silbergenerator herstellen. Anschließend erfahren Sie, wie Sie Tiere mit kolloidalem Silber behandeln können.Dann lernen Sie die Historie und Anwendungsbeispiele von kolloidalem Gold kennen. Danach wird die Dosierung und die Qualitätskontrolle von kolloidalem Gold erklärt. Nachdem Sie gelernt haben, wie Sie kolloidales Gold und den Goldgenerator herstellen, lernen Sie die Methoden der Goldynthese kennen. Zum Schluss erfahren Sie, wie Sie kolloidales Gold bei Pflanzen und Tieren anwenden.

EINE LIEBESGESCHICHTE VOLLER KRIBBELIGER MOMENTE, BERÜHREND LEIDENSCHAFTLICH, KOMPROMISSLOS UND ECHT.Es gibt Bücher, die liest man nicht einfach nur, man spürt sie in sich vibrieren. So geschehen bei „Autoboyography“ von Christina Lauren, dem Pseudonym des Autoren-Duos Christina Hobbs und Lauren Billings. Sie schreiben mit so viel Herz und Humor, dass ich mich selbst ganz verliebt fühlte. „Autoboyography“ ist eine sehr klassische Liebesgeschichte: Ein Junge trifft einen anderen Jungen, er verliebt sich und die Frage steht im Raum, ob sich der andere Junge auch in ihn verliebt. Die Handlung an sich bietet wenig Überraschungen, dennoch fließen Aspekte hinein, die sie besonders machen.Tanner ist bisexuell und lebt mit seiner Familie in Utah, dem Bundesstaat der USA, der als Zentrum des Mormonismus bekannt ist. Für alle, die es nicht wissen (ich wusste es nicht), Mormonen leben nach strengen Verhaltensregeln, so ist die Keuschheit bis zur Ehe ein wichtiger Grundsatz. Auch den Konsum von Alkohol, Kaffee, Tee und Zigaretten lehnen sie kategorisch ab. Man kann sich also gut zusammenreimen, dass Atheisten und bisexuelle Teenager in dieser Gemeinschaft eher die Außenseiter sind. Ungünstig also, dass sich Tanner ausgerechnet in seinen Mentor Sebastian, den Sohn des Mormonischen Bischofs, verliebt.Der besondere Reiz der Geschichte lag für mich darin, alle Gedanken und Gefühle aus erster Hand von Tanner zu erfahren. Denn er soll für einen Kurs an seiner Schule ein Buch schreiben – innerhalb von vier Monaten. Doch über was soll man schreiben, wenn man an nichts anderes denken kann, als diesen einen Menschen? Natürlich, man schreibt über eben diese Gefühle und Gedanken und einfach über alles, was in diesen vier Monaten geschieht. „Autoboyography“ liest sich daher wie ein Tagebuch, ungefiltert und berührend und mitreißend. Als Leser ist man mit Kopf und Herz vollkommen dabei, ich litt mit Tanner, hoffte mit Tanner und spürte seine Aufregung, Nervosität und Kraft.Denn über die verfügt er, nicht zuletzt, weil er aus einem Elternhaus kommt, in dem er zu jeder Zeit unterstützt wird. Sie akzeptieren ihn wie er ist und bestärken ihn mit angenehmer Selbstverständlichkeit in seiner Bisexualität.Tanner ist in seiner Hals-über-Kopf Verliebtheit ein unglaublich sympathischer und liebenswerter Charakter. Er ist niemand, der seinen Platz in der Welt noch finden muss, sondern jemand, der ihn schon gefunden hat. Sebastian hingegen hat seine Wünsche immer hinter den Anforderungen der Kirche zurückgestellt. Über ihn erhält der Leser einen Einblick in den religiösen Alltag von Mormonen, der kontrastreicher zu Tanner’s Alltag nicht sein könnte. Die Bewegung beider Charaktere aufeinander zu war dadurch äußerst spannend. Wirklich schön war es auch, eine intakte Familie in einem Jugendbuch vorzufinden. Eine Familie, die Auseinandersetzungen nicht scheut, in der die Familienmitglieder aber ebenso intensiv miteinander in den Dialog gehen.Das Ende des Buches hielt eine Überraschung bereit, die zur Folge hatte, dass ich noch immer darüber nachdenke, was nun wirklich passiert ist und was vielleicht nur Fiktion in Tanner’s Geschichte ist. Falls ihr „Autoboyography“ auch gelesen habt, würde es mich sehr interessieren, wie ihr die letzten Seiten interpretiert!Fazit„Autoboyography“ von Christina Lauren ist eine berührende Liebesgeschichte, die mich vollkommen überzeugte. Sensibel erlebt man als Leser das flatternde Herzklopfen mit, die Aufregung, Nervosität, das hoffnungsvolle Bangen und das überwältigende Gefühl, einen Menschen in all seinen Facetten zu sehen und zu lieben. Hinzu kommt die Selbstverständlichkeit, mit der Bisexualität thematisiert wird. Denn der Protagonist ist sich seiner Sexualität absolut sicher und steht dazu, ohne sich selbst zu hinterfragen oder von anderen hinterfragt zu werden. Das sollte es viel häufiger geben.

Blogspot: isabellsbooksInstagram: isleepnakedMY THOUGHTS ON ITI LOVED this book.I'd never expected this book to be even more beautiful on the inside than it already is on the outside with its stunning cover. ♥This book started with my favourite quote by Lin Manuel Miranda:And love is love is love is love is love is love is love, cannot be killed or swept aside.And I basically loved everything that came afterwards.I could immediately relate and connect to the protagonist Tanner and loved that he identified as bisexual because bisexuality is still so underrepresented in the media and mostly when a character is attracted to more than one gender, labeling is just completely put aside.There's nothing that I love more in a book than when I can literally feel the tension, the chemistry, the sparkles between two characters. Because then I ship them and I love nothing more than shipping characters and getting excited about them. For me, the fact that two characters have noticeable chemistry with each other is where a romance stands or falls. That's what everything depends on. Because what's more boring than reading about two people falling for each other when you can't feel that at all yourself, when you can't feel any connection between these people and when you're not the least interested in them?Luckily, there was A LOT of everything that I just mentioned I love between Tanner and Sebastian. Sparks flew out of the pages and hit me right in the heart and I was super hyped about it.I loved how supportive Tanner's parents were of him - I could so identify with his mother who went all the way and wore rainbow aprons and pyjamas and generally was quite obsessed with everything rainbow. I also found it very interesting to read about parents for whom gayness isn't the issue at all but who are super supportive of that but who don't want their son to get hurt and so want to protect him from the Mormons.Before this book, I had only a very vague idea of Mormons. I knew that Cece (my favourite booktuber ProblemsOfABooknerd) could relate a lot to the book because she herself grew up in Utah where the book is set and was also surrounded by Mormons. So I knew that the book was very realistic in that aspect. I found it very interesting to learn so much about Mormons and felt quite educated by the book.As I said before, this book reminded me of CMBYN. But not only because I have a similar amount of love for it and enjoyed reading it so much but mostly because Sebastian reminded me of Oliver and Tanner reminded me of Elio. They both seemed to be the more "likable" versions of Oliver and Elio which I liked but which does not mean that I liked them more than Oliver and Elio. The thing that I adore so so much about CMBYN is the fact that Elio isn't a completely likable character but shows a lot of sides of him that provoke the reader and that the reader might disapprove of. But that's what made him so incredibly real and relatable for me.So AUTOBOYOGRAPHY felt a lot like the toned down version of the characters of CMBYN. They were completely likable and didn't really provoke the reader in any way.So because I loved this book so much, reading it felt so sacred to me that I could not be disturbed while doing that. And since I read outside (which is my favourite place to read and where I read the fastest) I got often disturbed by the neighbours. So when a particularly emotional scene was about to begin, I just had to shield myself from the outside world and put in my earphones and listened to the CALL ME BY YOUR NAME soundtrack while reading on. And OH MY GOD. Wow.Listening to that soundtrack while reading this book felt like the absolute epitome of gay goals.The music fitted the story so beautifully and made the whole book even more emotional and deeper and I just loved every bit of it. I mostly prefer books to their movie adaptions because there is just so much more depth in books normally. But movies have music which is this essential tool that books don't have. And by listening to the CMBYN soundtrack while reading AUTOBOYOGRAPHY I gave the book the tool of music and wow, it just blew my mind.I normally don't listen to music while reading - only sometimes to the Harry Potter soundtrack while reading Harry Potter - but this was an otherworldly experience that I will cherish forever.CONCLUSIONI loved this book so much and I am so happy I read it because it fulfilled me and touched me in a way that only my favourite book of this year, CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, has managed to do so far. After I finished CMBYN I so wanted to read another book like it and was frustrated because it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime book experience. But then I read AUTOBOYOGRAPHY and it came so close to that experience and I am so thankful for that. It was such a wonderful, beautiful, emotional and heartwarming and heartbreaking read and this book has a very dear place in my heart now and I am so happy I discovered it.

This book is everything!Christina and Lauren made me cry for hours again.I loved the story of Tanner and Sebastian. I still can't believe that so so many teens and adults have to live a lie, because of so many people who can't accept the fact that they are just like anyone else. What is wrong about being gay or a lesbian or bi or a transgender? NOTHING!Anyone deserves to love and to be loved, no matter what.There should be written far more of those books.

I have laughed and cried (so much) at this book like never before. The story was so well written and thought through. There were so many layers to the story (definitely way more than to the average always easy love story). I would recommend it to everyone, not only for an amazing read but also to open your horizon to problems some of us will luckily never have to face but so many people out there will go through these struggles everyday.

Truly a book I fell in love with. I read it in one day, just couldn't put it down. It's intense and makes you suffer with these two, but also admire them in different ways. A dream book in many ways, will definitely reread.

Ich hab das Buch tatsächlich innerhalb eines Tages durchgelesen, weil ich es nicht aus der Hand legen konnte. Ich liebe die Charaktere und die Geschichte! Es war lustig, traurig, interessant, absolut herzzerreißend und so, so, so, so schön! Ich kann das Buch absolut weiterempfehlen!
